• I'm really excited that you guys are reopening again! I've really missed you all! Are there any changes or new information that I should know? We are right there with you and we have really missed you all as well. We cannot thank you enough for your understanding and patience during this past year.  We have included some frequently asked questions below to help fill you in!  Also, don't hesitate to reach out and call us at (805) 522-7476 if you have any more questions or concerns.
  • I'm still not comfortable coming inside in the building. Can I just wait inside my car instead? Of course! We are here to work with you and make your visit with us as comfortable as possible.
  • Why do I still have to wear mask in the building even though I am fully vaccinated? We completely understand how this can be confusing. The California Department of Public Health (CDPH) has guidelines for masks which went in to effect on June 15th. While fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear masks UNLESS they enter specific locations such as healthcare settings like hospitals, or veterinary facilities. To read the full guidelines click here. If you do not want to wear your mask, we respectfully ask you to wait in your car for the duration of your visit.
  • My child really wants to come in to the building with our pet. Can they? They definitely can!
  • How does the whole in-client visit process look like again? Here is a step by step guide on the whole process:
    1. A client call us or one of receptionists call a client (for a follow-up or wellness check). Before the appointment is finalized, the client is asked a quick series of questions to determine if they are experiencing any COVID like symptoms. After the questions have been answered and no symptoms have been reported, the appointment is set on our calendar.
    2. On the day of the appointment the client will arrive 15 min before the designated time of their appointment to fill out all the required paperwork.  The client will enter the lobby where one of our receptionists are more than happy to help you.  The client will then have their temperature taken and will also answer COVID-19 related questions before continuing with their appointment to ensure the client's, as well as the staff's, health and safety.
    3. While the client is filling out their paperwork an exam room is being and sterilized for them.
    4. Once the client has finished steps 1 & 2, they will be led to their designated exam room (unless there is a queue, then they will wait in the waiting room while maintain social distancing). There a doctor will conduct the exam and explain any treatment options if needed. Once the visit is over the client will wait in the exam room until the estimate for treatment is prepared.
    5. If the treatment is approved, the client will wait in their designated waiting room and treatment for the pet will begin.
    6. If the treatment is approved, the client will wait in their designated waiting room and treatment for the pet will begin. After the treatment is finished the client will pay for the treatment and exit the building with their pet.
  • How many people can be allowed into the building at one time? Under normal circumstances, the maximum occupancy of our building is 50 people. To maintain social distancing, we are lowering the maximum occupancy of to 25. This number includes our staff as well.
  • I have my whole family with me today, can we all into the building with our pet? We are thrilled to say that we have lifted our restrictions on how many people may accompany the pet during their appointment!  We do ask that you note that we are still enforcing our maximum occupancy of 25 people (staff included) to ensure proper social distancing.
  • I have multiple pets but only one of them is scheduled to see doctor today. Is it okay to bring my other pet(s) into the building with me? Yes, of course! However, we do ask that you maintain firm control of your pet(s) while you are inside the building for the duration of your visit. *NOTE: We also recommend you do not use retractable leashes on your pets unless absolutely necessary. If you need to borrow a leash for your visit, one can be provided for you.
  • Is there anything else I should know? I'm glad you asked! Here are a few other items of note:

    1. No eating or drinking inside the building.
    2. No bathrooms will available to the public.
    3. Please keep all electronic devices on vibrate or do not disturb so they do not startle any pets in the building.
    4. Please keep your hands to yourself.
    5. Maintain social distancing at all times when inside the building.
  • On a scale of one to ten how excited are you right now about reopening? We don't think there is a number high enough to properly explain how excited we are to see you all again. This past year has been challenging in so many ways and we can't thank you enough for your understanding and patience with us. However, this transition back to normal is going to take some time to get used to so, we will continue to ask you to be patient with and we will back to normal before long. Sirloin and Broccoli are another story however, they've had the run of the place for a whole year and we don't think they are going to like going back to normal.
