Dr. Aiden Kang, DVM, MSEducation: Seoul National University College of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Kang was born and raised in Seoul, South Korea and immigrated to the United States in 2006 to seek change and a better opportunity to serve. He graduated from Seoul National University College of Veterinary Medicine, of Seoul, Korea in 2000. He majored in veterinary internal medicine and dermatology in graduate school, thus earning his master’s degree. He worked as an internal medicine/dermatology specialist and as a general practitioner in big and small practices in order to obtain a wider range of experience. Dr. Kang also gained valuable critical care and emergency experience after transferring to the biggest referral practice in all of Korea. He began working at a private practice then continued his work at a 24 hour emergency practice for more than 2 years before he began to work at Rancho Sequoia Veterinary Hospital. He owns two cats, Tori and Zorro. They are rescues. He’s dying to get dogs too in the near future.
Dr. Melissa Lucas, DVMEducation: Western University of Health Sciences’ College of Veterinary Medicine
Dr. Melissa Lucas began her career in high school when she worked as a veterinary assistant for a small animal clinic. After high school, she was thrilled to be accepted into the pre-veterinary program at Cal Poly Pomona. During college, she worked as the student assistant to the campus veterinarian and helped wrangle everything from cattle, sheep, and pigs to horses, cats, dogs, and exotics. She graduated from Western University of Health Sciences College of Veterinary Medicine in 2007. After completing a residency in Comparative Medicine at UCLA she spent three years as a veterinarian for the US Department of Veterans Affairs. In 2012 she transitioned into private practice. Her professional interests include teaching, dental/oral surgery, soft tissue surgery, and management of chronic conditions such as kidney disease and diabetes mellitus. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, horseback riding, and spending time with her husband and two young daughters.

Crystal is a proud advocate of the ASPCA and strong supporter of animal rights. Crystal volunteered at a small dog rescue for 3 years where she received recognition for her hard work and determination to give dogs a second chance in life. She hopes to become a vet, too.
Ina ChangVeterinary Assistant
Ina volunteered at the Los Angeles county animal shelter in the past for about 4 years. She has always had a passion for caring for animals, from fostering to having pets of her own. She is currently attending college to accomplish her major as a vet tech.
Angie loves spending her free time reading and spoiling her bearded dragon, ball python and yorkie. Working with all animals has always been her biggest passion.
